Resource Links For You About Your Cat

Feral

With a heart as wild as the moon
At one time this cat did swoon
for the gentle stroke of his owner's hand,
and a can of tuna he did demand.
But now he has been left behind
Some would say he doesn't mind.
What would you do if you had a home,
and now you were just alone.

Your instincts would tell you to be wild and free
and that is what he has come to be.
A feral cat that wanders the streets,
afraid of those he meets.
Oh, if only he could find a kind and good-hearted soul,
that would give him time to again come to know,
how nice and loving some people can be.

So, open your eyes to see.
All of these former pets,
that were never taken to vets.
Humanely trap, spay, and release,
then feed them a daily feast.

So many animals that will just die.
Unless you help them,
Don't you hear them cry.
