Mickey- Our "Terrible Two's" BoyMickey came to live with us the Saturday after we acquired our first young man, Gasper. He came from the same PetSmart S.N.A.P.S. adoption group.
A woman living nearby had to give him up due to landlord difficulties. At six months old he was her seventh cat. and it seemed "last one in" was the first one to get the boot. Her loss and our gain. We wouldn't trade him for anything.
We nearly missed getting him too. At Petsmart there was a woman with her young teenage daughter and they had seen him first and decided they wanted to take him home. I was crushed and one of the volunteers, asked us to just stay and make sure that the adoption by the other family was going to be approved. Well don't you know, this would have been their umpteenth cat. What happened to the others? "Oh, they just got loose and ran away."
Well that was enough for the woman from S.N.A.P.S. No way was she letting this kitty go home with those two! So, the rest is history!
If there is trouble to be found, just follow Mickey and he will lead you right to it. By far the most mischievous of them all! Do not leave anything around unattended, for example, my mother-in-law's diamond ring, because Mickey will surely find it and use it as a hockey puck or soccer ball. Mickey's favorite sport had been "Ping Pong Ball Soccer", however, his newest passion is "Penne Hockey". Give him a piece of pasta on a hard floor and watch that little guy go!
With Mickey in our family we cannot be without a yard stick. You know those old wood types you pickup at the hardware store for a buck. So far this is the best means for retrieval of all of his goodies he stashes underneath the china closet, the refrigerator and along side of it, under the stove, under the entertainment center and underneath every piece of furniture in our bedroom.
